Kompas.com Presents 6 Apps for Nokia N9

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Users of Nokia N9 smartphone can get access to latest news and information provided by the news portal Kompas.com. Nokia N9 of Nokia Store enables its users to download the 6 applications; Kompas.com, Kompas Bola, Kompas Otomotif, Kompas Entertainment, Kompasiana, and Kompas Images.

Nokia N9 is the first Nokia smartphone applied with Meego operating system. Meego is Linux-based system developed by Intel and Nokia, a joint of Linux Maemo Nokia with Intel Moblin software platform.

The Nokia smartphone can be operated by just tapping or swiping it. Tap to get the screen by pressing finger on it twice and swipe it by scrolling finger from right to left or up and down or the other way around.

The applications of Kompas.com are designed and formatted in accordance with navigation functions and features of N9. As in the website format, the applications make it possible for users to get the whole latest information and interesting articles on whole rubrics and canals provided by www.kompas.com.

The application of "Kompas Bola" offers latest news and information on both international and national soccers. "Kompas Otomotif" and "Kompas Entertainment"provide news and information as offered on the canals of Kompas.com.

While a collection of articles written by bloggers as well as civil journalists listed on Kompasiana.com can be downloaded on "Kompasiana." On the app, users can read various articles written by Kompasianers, members of Kompasiana producing at least 800 articles a day. The next feature “Write & Report” has been being set to enable Kompasianers to write articles right on smartphones.

The sixth app "Kompas Images" serves users with various photographs on journalistic, creative, stories, infographics as well as caricature issues taken by Kompas.com, Kompas daily and Kompas Gramedia's photographers. The six apps of Kompas.com are free to be downloaded at Nokia Store with its address http://store.ovi.com.
